Flashy Chelsey was a winner of over $300k at the track in 41 starts and retired as a six year old. He had two years off and was restarted when he was eight. He has since being teaching lessons, jumping up to 1.20 courses and 1.40 in the jump chute. After a strenuous career at the track and staying in hard work here at the farm, he still has perfect radiographs and flexions at eleven years old with no arthritis whatsoever. Chelsey has never been lame. Chelsey has fantastic form over fences and has a nice round bascule. To top it all off, he has a great disposition and is full of personality. Chelsey is 16h with a stocky build. He is a great candidate for breeding show jumpers, dressage horses, and even the hunters and equitation. He scored very high at his Westfalen inspection for his walk, trot, and canter. He would be a great choice for mares who have a weaker canter and/or trot. Chelsey can also add athleticism as he is super agile and can jump from any distance. Chelsey is fantastic at dressage and has a nice soft mouth and beautiful movement.

Chelsey’s foals all boast a very calm and brave disposition and have all been Conformationally correct and full of chrome! 😉 We have plenty of pictures of his foals out of warmblood mares, quarter horse mares, and thoroughbred mares bred for sport so far. In 2025 we are expecting to add foals out of Connemara mares and some draft crosses as well to broaden our horizons.

He placed in the Hollywood Beach Stakes, Buffalo Man Stakes, Texas Glitter Stakes, Thirsty Fish Stakes, Carry Back Stakes, Sunshine Millions Sprint Stakes, Millions Sprint Preview Stakes, and the FTBOA Marion County Florida Sire Stakes. Jackson’s sire Kantharos has produced 7 graded stakes winners (6% stakes winners to date)and was named Leading Florida sire in 2016. He himself was a multiple graded stakes winner. Jackson’s dams sire, Put It Back was also a graded stakes winner. Jackson will be a fantastic sire for racing and is an ideal choice for those who want to breed to race.
